Webster Bank Makes Key Appointments in Bank Operations

WATERBURY, Conn, March 16, 2012 – Webster Bank, a leading regional bank, today
announced an internal promotion and a hire to the Bank Operations team.

Joseph J. Pelliccia, Jr. has been named senior vice president and director of loan operations. A
resident of East Haven, Conn., Joe has more than 35 years of management experience and
expertise in loan related portfolios. Previously at Webster, he served as vice president,
commercial operations manager. Prior to that, he worked at Chase Manhattan Corp. Joe attended
Southern Connecticut State University and a manager of American Legion Baseball.

In addition, Michael Liam O’Connor, Esq., joins Webster as senior vice president, corporate real
estate and facilities. Mike will manage Webster’s corporate real estate portfolio to include,
construction, space planning, building refurbishment and maintenance. Mike has over 15 years of
real estate, development, construction, project management and leadership experience. Mike joins
Webster after completing an active duty tour as an Army officer assigned to the Office of the
Judge Advocate General, the Pentagon Washington D.C. This resident of Woodbury, Conn.,
earned his Bachelors at High Point College and his JD at Ohio Northern University.
