|Webster Bank Appoints Matthew Cammarota SVP, Consumer Finance Operations Manager|
WATERBURY , Conn. , August 16, 2010 – Webster Bank, N.A., the main subsidiary of Webster Financial Corporation (NYSE: WBS), has appointed Matthew Cammarota to senior vice president, consumer finance operations manager.
In this position, Cammarota will oversee application processing, underwriting and loan fulfillment for Webster's consumer finance organization. Cammarota joined Webster in 2008 as vice president, consumer finance. Prior to Webster he worked as senior vice president, consumer lending at Virginia Commerce Bank in Arlington, where he was responsible for all aspects of consumer and home equity lending. He began his banking career in 1996 at Century National Bank in Washington , D.C. , last serving as senior vice president, consumer and mortgage lending.
Cammarota earned a BS in economics (cum laude) from Siena College in Loudonville , N.Y.
