Mary F. Sammons
Retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Rite Aid Corporation


Ms. Sammons is the retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rite Aid Corporation. She served as the Chief Executive Officer of Rite Aid from 2003 to June 2010 and was on the Board of Directors from 1999 until June 2013, serving as Chairman of the Board until June 2012. She served as President of Rite Aid from December 1999 through September 2008. From January 1998 to December 1999, Ms. Sammons served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Fred Meyer Stores, Inc. and from 1980 to 1998, she held a number of senior executive positions for Fred Meyer. She currently serves as Chair of the Compensation Committee of Magellan Health, a specialty health care manager. Ms. Sammons is StanCorp’s lead independent director and serves on the Audit and Nominating & Corporate Governance Committees.
