Dividend Reinvestment Plan
The Hormel Foods Corporation Dividend Reinvestment Plan, offered through our transfer agent Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., provides you the opportunity to invest quarterly cash dividends in additional shares of Hormel common stock without incurring brokerage charges.
Participation in dividend reinvestment is entirely voluntary and, subject to the terms and conditions of the Plan, you may join or withdraw at any time.
If you do not already own stock, it will be necessary to make an initial purchase of stock through a broker. It can be for as little as one share and should be issued in your own name (not held by the broker). You can find a listing in the Yellow Pages under "Investment Securities" for the name of a local broker, or your banker should be able to advise you.
If you elect to participate in the Dividend Reinvestment Plan, your quarterly dividends will automatically be used to purchase additional shares of Hormel common stock for your account. Dividend payments are made quarterly, around the 15th day of February, May, August and November.
You may increase your purchases in any month with your own additional cash contribution. Hormel Foods Corporation will pay brokerage charges associated with any purchases made under the Plan. Wells Fargo Bank makes dividend reinvestment purchases on about the 15th of every month, so a cash contribution is invested with the next round of purchases. A statement is mailed to the shareholder shortly after each purchase.
