FALLS CHURCH, Va., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Joined by local Hillsborough County and Tampa community leaders, Capital One executives officially inaugurated the company's associate amenities building "Renaissance Centre," located on its campus in the Town & Country area.

Officials at the event, including Mayor Dick Greco, County Commissioner Ben Wacksman, and Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce leaders Rhea Law and former Governor Bob Martinez, raised funds for local charities by trying their hand at a basketball "free throw" in the new building's basketball court. In honor of the opening, Capital One donated $2,000 to each official's charity of choice.

The building, which measures 121,000 square feet, includes a Cyber Cafe, food court, fitness center (aerobics, weight room, basketball court and racquetball court), dry cleaning service, learning center and training/development classrooms for associates to use. It is built adjacent to three Capital One buildings. The facilities in Tampa operate as part of the company's Customer Relations call centers. Capital One currently employs more than 1,800 associates in Tampa.
