|GATX Corporation Announces New Leadership for Midwest Sales Office|
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 2007--GATX Corporation today announced that Thomas J. Clark has been promoted to regional vice president - sales for the Midwest sales office located in Chicago. Mr. Clark, together with his Midwest sales team, will be responsible for originating lease transactions and managing relationships with many of GATX's railcar customers in North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio.
"Tom is particularly adept at developing creative solutions for our customers' rail equipment challenges," said Daniel P. Penovich, vice president and executive director, North American sales. "He has been a key contributor to GATX's success in the Midwest and I am confident that the sales team will continue to excel under Tom's leadership."
Mr. Clark joined GATX in 1998 as a railcar fleet manager in portfolio management and later moved to the Midwest sales office as a corporate account manager. Prior to joining GATX, Mr. Clark worked at GE Capital in Chicago focusing on railcar fleet utilization for GE Plastics and at Akzo Nobel, Inc. in various chemical sales and operations capacities. Early in his career Mr. Clark managed intermodal terminal operations in the Chicago area for the Union Pacific Railroad. Mr. Clark holds an MBA degree from DePaul University in Chicago and an undergraduate degree in business administration from Western Illinois University.
