Briggs & Stratton Corporation Announces Results of Annual Meeting

MILWAUKEE, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Briggs & Stratton Corporation (NYSE: BGG):

Briggs & Stratton Corporation announced the following results of its Annual Meeting held today:

Shareholders reelected Robert J. O'Toole, John S. Shiely and Charles I. Story as directors to terms expiring in 2009.

Shareholders ratified the selection of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the company's independent auditors and the Rights Agreement as amended by the Board of Directors on August 9, 2006.
