Hasbro Announces Formation of Games Campus
PAWTUCKET, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 3, 1998--Hasbro Inc. (ASE:HAS) announced today that it is forming a new Hasbro Games Campus. The new campus will provide the global marketing and product development teams from Hasbro's Milton Bradley, Parker Brothers and Hasbro Interactive units with a single facility designed to foster creativity in a campus atmosphere in Beverly, Mass.

"Hasbro is a worldwide leader in games because of our people and our brands," said Bob Wann, Hasbro's Global Brand Group General Manager of Games. "Our Hasbro Games Campus will enable our global marketing and product development teams to share information and ideas more efficiently and effectively in a dynamic and stimulating environment."

The establishment of the Hasbro Games Campus is expected to result in the transfer of approximately 100 employees -- made up of global marketing and product development teams -- from the Company's East Longmeadow, Mass. facility. Hasbro will continue to employ approximately 1,800 people in manufacturing, sales, marketing and administration in East Longmeadow. The Company will continue to sell products under both the Milton Bradley and Parker Brothers brand names.

The formation of the Hasbro Games Campus will be effective in the late summer and is one in a series of moves the Company is making to further its mission of being a leader in the children's and family leisure time and entertainment industry. In December 1997, the Company announced a Global Integration and Profit Enhancement program designed to leverage its core brands and financial strengths on a global basis.
