(NASDAQ: ADTN), the U.S. market leader in carrier and business class network access solutions is today unveiling its plans to target and energise the Middle East's networking market by offering greater choice and value to the region's enterprise business and service-provider customers.

ADTRAN's expansion into the Middle East is being realised through an EMEA-wide distribution agreement with Anixter International, the largest global distributor and logistics services provider of wire, cable and connectivity products and services. Under the terms of the agreement, Anixter will distribute ADTRAN's line of enterprise networking solutions, with special emphasis on the NetVanta family of access routers, Ethernet switches, and VPN/firewall offerings. This will increase Anixter's presence in the networking market, while providing ADTRAN with the global logistical support and reseller base necessary to expand in the region.
