|BakBone Software Appoints Lonnie Wills as CIO|
SAN DIEGO, Feb 23, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- BakBone Software(TM) (TSX:BKB)(Pink Sheets:BKBO), a global provider of data protection software, today announced that Lonnie Wills has joined the Company in the newly created position of vice president and chief information officer.
Reporting directly to the president and CEO, Jim Johnson, Wills will oversee BakBone's global IT infrastructure. Additionally, Wills will be responsible for developing and deploying systems, applications and network security throughout the Company, as well as streamlining business processes to more effectively deliver BakBone's line of data protection solutions to customers.

Wills joins BakBone from Woodward Michaelson Ventures with more than 15 years of senior executive and general management experience in a number of industries including defense, the public sector, telecommunications and transportation. At Woodward Michaelson Ventures, Wills participated in planning and assessing IT strategy for a state-wide call center initiative for the State of Oregon, as well as the implementation of a multi-year state-wide information management software program. Prior to joining Woodward Michaelson Ventures, Wills served as CEO of e-Botz.com, a software start-up in business intelligence which he developed and later sold. Wills has also held senior management positions developing IT strategy, knowledge transfer and service delivery models at Bowman, Comsys and IBM. He graduated from Concordia University with a bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management.
