|IFF Appoints Ahmet Baydar SVP, Research & Development|
NEW YORK, Sep 22, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (NYSE: IFF), a leading global creator of flavors and fragrances for consumer products, announced that Ahmet Baydar has been appointed to the newly-created role of Senior Vice President, Research and Development.
In this position, Dr. Baydar has responsibility for the leadership and development of the Company's global R&D strategy. He will lead the Company's efforts in innovation, technological development and external collaborations.
For the past two years, Dr. Baydar served as IFF's Vice President, Global Fragrance Research and was responsible for overseeing the efforts of the fragrance synthesis, research perfumery, process engineering and naturals research groups.

Dr. Baydar has spent over 30 years collaboratively working among world-class R&D leaders within the flavor and fragrance industry. Prior to joining IFF, he spent three years with The Procter & Gamble Company, serving as Director of Shave Care and Integrated Shaving Systems R&D. He was also the Vice President of R&D-Personal Care at The Gillette Company, and held global flavor and fragrance leadership roles with Givaudan. Dr. Baydar holds a PhD in Heterocyclic Chemistry and a B.S. with First Class Honors in Chemistry from London University, UK.
