Omnicare Announces the Appointment of Alexander "Aly" Kayne as General Counsel

COVINGTON, Ky., Apr 04, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Omnicare, Inc. (NYSE:OCR), announced today that it has appointed Alexander "Aly" Kayne to the role of Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.

Mr. Kayne was formerly Omnicare's Interim General Counsel and Secretary, and a partner with Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP in its New York Litigation Department. He has represented firms in a variety of industries, including the insurance/reinsurance, health care, banking and energy industries. While with Dewey & LeBoeuf, his practice focused on complex commercial and securities cases in federal and state courts including cases involving federal and governmental regulatory agencies. Prior to joining Dewey & LeBoeuf, Mr. Kayne clerked on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York for the Honorable Raymond J. Dearie. He has also served as a director on the board of a public utility in New York.

Mr. Kayne graduated from Yale University and Yale Law School. While attending Yale Law School, Mr. Kayne was an editor of the Yale Law Journal.
