Legacy Regions shareholders received 1.2346 shares of the new Regions for each 1 share they owned immediately prior to the merger on July 1, 2004. Legacy Union Planters shareholders received 1 share of the new Regions for each 1 share they owned immediately prior to the merger on July 1, 2004.
How many shares of common stock of Regions did I receive in the merger between Regions and AmSouth in exchange for the AmSouth shares I held prior to the merger?
AmSouth shareholders received .7974 shares of Regions for each 1 share of AmSouth they owned immediately prior to the merger on November 4, 2006. Regions shareholders were not impacted by this merger.
