 | Jing-wen Kuo, Ph.D. Chief Scientific Officer Commencing his employment in July 2011, Jing-wen Kuo, Ph.D., serves as Anika’s Chief Scientific Officer, and is responsible for the overall research and development function and managing the Company’s patent portfolio. Jing-wen has over 25 years of industry experience including 10 years in senior management of U.S. companies specialized in hyaluronan based medical products. He was previously employed at Anika from 1984 through 1998 where he served as VP of Technical and Clinical Affairs at the time of his departure. His expertise spans a broad range of areas including R&D, intellectual properties, clinical studies, regulatory submissions, quality systems, manufacturing process improvements and marketing support. He is the sole author of “Practical Aspects of Hyaluronan Based Medical Products” which was published in 2005 by CRC. In addition, he has published a large number of peer reviewed articles, book chapters, and he has given numerous presentations on the subject of HA throughout the world. He received his doctorate degree in Chemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Jing-wen is the co-inventor in several patents (U.S. and International) mostly related to HA. |
