![]() | R. Milton Johnson is President and Chief Financial Officer of Nashville, Tennessee-based HCA, the nation’s leading provider of healthcare services. His responsibilities include the Treasury, Government Programs, Investor Relations, Development, Managed Care, Controller, Performance Improvement, and IT&S departments, as well as the Shared Services and Strategic Resources Groups. Johnson joined HCA in 1982 as Tax Manager in the research and planning area and later served as Director of Tax for HealthTrust, which spun off from HCA in 1987. He returned to HCA as Vice President of Tax when the company merged with HealthTrust in 1995. He became Senior Vice President and Controller in 1998. In 2004, Johnson was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and in February 2011, Johnson was named President and Chief Financial Officer. He was appointed to the Board of Directors in December 2009. Prior to joining HCA, Johnson worked for Ernst & Young. A Certified Public Accountant (currently inactive) since 1981, Johnson has held various offices within professional organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for United Way of Metropolitan Nashville, Siloam Family Health Center, Oasis Center, Sarah Cannon Research Institute, The HCA Foundation, Board of Trustees and Regents for Belmont University, and is a member of the Conference Board Council of Financial Executives. A native of Nashville, Johnson received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Belmont University. He and his wife Denice reside in Nashville and have two children. |
