|Mac-Gray Corporation Celebrates 'Earth Day' with Increased Conservation Initiatives|
WALTHAM, Mass., April 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mac-Gray Corporation (NYSE: TUC), the nation's premier provider of laundry facilities management services to multi-unit housing locations including apartment properties, condominiums, military housing and hotels, and the nation's largest provider of these services to college and university residence halls, today announced it has saved nearly 390 million gallons of water over the past 12 months through the installation of high-efficiency front-load washers. The Company looks to continue its program of decommissioning less-efficient top-load washers to achieve its previously established goal of saving 500 million gallons of water each year.
In recognition of a record number of ENERGY STAR(R) rated washer installations and for its long-standing commitment to promoting water and energy conservation, Mac-Gray was recently chosen from among all distributors of Maytag's commercial laundry equipment to receive the company's Energy Advantage Award. This is the second time in three years that Mac-Gray has been bestowed with this prestigious honor.

To ensure the environmental benefits of high-efficiency washers are available to as many customers as possible, Mac-Gray is again offering rebates of up to $350 per unit on select front-load commercial washers in the near future. The program, available only for a limited time, is being offered through Mac-Gray's partnership with Whirlpool Corporation.
The rebates are available for qualified units placed in operation in apartments, condos, co-ops, laundromats or colleges and universities. Mac-Gray is also looking forward to offering its customers the next generation of high-efficiency front-load washers beginning in July of this year. The improved washers will set a new industry standard for water and energy savings while continuing to provide the dependability for which Maytag washers are known.
To further promote water and energy conservation, Mac-Gray is educating owners and managers of laundry facilities about the environmental impact of choices made in the laundry room. Instructional signage and the recently launched website, http://www.cleanandgreenvision.com, serve as resources to inform people of the benefits of high-efficiency washers and dryers and how to utilize the equipment correctly to minimize environmental impact.
