On Tuesday, July 19, Ferrellgas Partners, L.P., one of the nation's largest propane distributors, joined the fight against blood cancers and rolled out its new Leukemia and Lymphoma-themed propane "bobtail" delivery truck. The bobtail will generate nearly $10,000 a year from Ferrellgas for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Illinois Chapter. The specialty themed bobtail was created in honor of Brittini Cape, the daughter of Dave Cape, a Ferrellgas driver in Salem, Illinois. Brittini is undergoing treatment for leukemia.

Several members of the Cape family, representatives from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Illinois Chapter and employees from Ferrellgas, including CEO Steve Wambold, attended the special event to unveil the truck to Brittini and her family.

According to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org), more than 43,000 people are expected to develop leukemia in 2011. Ferrellgas has pledged to one cent for every gallon of propane pumped by the truck to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Illinois Chapter.
