Tim Dordell was elected as The Toro Company’s vice president, secretary and general counsel in May 2007. He currently provides strategic direction for Toro's legal, ethics, and regulatory compliance activities.
Prior to joining Toro, Dordell served as associate general counsel at Ecolab Inc. in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where he specialized in securities law, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions.
Dordell received a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, with majors in history and American studies, from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota in 1984. He spent a term at Cambridge University in England, and received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1987.
Dordell is currently a member of the American Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, State Bar of Arizona, and Hennepin County Bar Association, a board member of The Toro Foundation, as well as a number of other professional associations.
