Tim Dordell was elected vice president, secretary and general counsel in May 2007. He currently provides strategic direction for Toro's legal, ethics and compliance activities.

Dordell joined The Toro Company as vice president, deputy general counsel in November 2006 from Ecolab Inc. in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Dordell received a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, in history and American studies from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota in 1984. He spent a term at Cambridge University in England, and later received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1987. He was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 1987 and the Minnesota State Bar Association in 1989. He is currently a member of the American Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, State Bar of Arizona and Hennepin County Bar Association as well as a number of other professional associations.
