Bongo Announces 'It Girl' Kristin Cavallari to Star in Its Fall Advertising Campaign

NEW YORK, May 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Iconix Brand Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ICON) (the "Company") announced today actress Kristin Cavallari will appear in its Bongo(R) Fall multi-media advertising campaign. The blond beauty that has been seen on the covers of Seventeen, Teen People and all the entertainment weeklies, will star in the brand's advertising campaign, which will break this Fall in the September issues of fashion and entertainment magazines, such as InStyle, Teen Vogue, Seventeen and InTouch. Kristin was propelled into fame when she and several friends were cast in MTV's smash hit, "Laguna Beach: The Real O.C." Last season, Bongo featured the entire cast of "Laguna Beach" in its campaign.

Kristin Cavallari commented, "This shoot was very different from the last shoot because it is sexier and pin-up inspired and it's just me this time around. So all eyes are on me!" Commenting on past Bongo spokespeople, Cavallari added, "To follow in Nicole Richie and Rachel Bilson's footsteps is amazing. I never thought I would be doing anything like this. It is a dream come true."

Commenting on the creative for the campaign, Dari Marder, Creative Director, Bongo, stated, "We decided to work with Kristin for a second season because after working with the whole cast of MTV's Laguna Beach, she was the stand out girl. Kristin is a Bongo girl, she is funny, playful and sexy. The concept behind this campaign is sexy, vampy and glamorous, think 60's pin-up. Kristin was perfect for it!"

The campaign was photographed by Matthew Rolston at Chelsea Piers in New York City and created by the Iconix in-house marketing team. Kristin will make special public appearances on behalf of the brand. The Bongo fall collections of jeanswear, footwear, outerwear and accessories will be available in department and specialty stores nationwide in August.

Kristin will next be seen in "Fingerprints," a film directed by Harry Basil which is scheduled to release December 1st of this year. Cavallari will co-star with Leah Pipes from "Malcolm in the Middle" and Josh Henderson from "Yours, Mine & Ours" and "8 Simple Rules."
