empowering messages, including "Be Sexy, It Doesn't Mean You Have To Have Sex"
and "Be Independent, Don't Depend On Him". Candie's will offer the T-shirts for

promoting the Foundation's message though the sale of T-shirts is Dallas-based
Gadzooks, Inc., which will offer the T-shirts in its 425 plus stores and donate

The funds donated to The Foundation will go towards fueling a provocative,
celebrity-driven media assault that dramatically exposes the devastating
consequences of teenage pregnancy, while educating and challenging America's
youth to make healthy decisions about sex. Since its launch in June 2001, The
Foundation is estimated to have reached over one hundred million teens through
its print public service awareness campaign that has run in fashion,
entertainment and lifestyle magazines, on television and radio and which has
been supported by a blitz of publicity coverage. Candie's is supporting the
T-shirt program through a national print advertising campaign featuring actress
and funny girl, Jenny McCarthy, which will run in fashion magazines such as
CosmoGirl and Seventeen. The T-shirt program will receive online support from
AOL Music, an online marketing and promotional partner of the Foundation, as
well as CosmoGirl.com and Janemag.com.
Neil Cole, Founder, The Candie's Foundation and CEO, Candie's, Inc., stated "The
issue of teen pregnancy directly affects our Candie's customer, so we could not
think of a better way to give something back to that community than by creating
the Foundation. We believe that by educating these teens we can help to reduce
the teenage pregnancy rate in the United States and support young women in
making healthy choices that will improve their futures. These shirts were
specially designed to deliver a powerful message, while still being fashionable
and fun to wear."
