New version provides more features, and tighter integration with Orion and Community Content Library for improved monitoring and reporting
AUSTIN, Texas – August 19, 2008 – SolarWinds, a leader in downloadable network management software, today announced Orion Application Performance Monitor (APM) version 2, the latest addition to its flagship Orion software family that extends the suite’s powerful monitoring, alerting, and reporting capabilities beyond the network into servers and applications.
Orion APM v2 is now available for download.The software gives IT professionals the proof they need to confidently say, “it’s not the network!” when application performance is the cause of network bottlenecks. Orion APM v2 delivers proactive, valuable insight and analysis on the particular issue and the overall health of the IT infrastructure.

The Thwack Community Content Library extends Orion APM v2’s ease of use and flexibility by reducing the need to create additional custom monitors for common applications and servers, like Citrix XenApp, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, and Microsoft Office SharePoint server. Additionally, an Open Source Script Processor allows Orion APM v2 to convert, schedule, run and generate result reports from any Nagios script for Unix and Linux servers.
