|Masonite Honored with 2013 Brand Leader Award|
TAMPA, FL, December 12, 2012 – Masonite received high marks in both interior and entry door categories in BUILDER magazine's 2013 Brand Use Study. Conducted in collaboration with Readex Research, the annual study queried more than 73,000 builders, builder developers and general contractors about brand familiarity, brand preference and use and brand quality across 70 residential building product categories.
For interior doors, Masonite held the highest brand ranking in the categories of brand familiarity, brands used within the past two years and brands used most frequently. Masonite was also recognized as one of the top three brands in the entry door categories of brands used with the last two years and brands used most frequently.

In addition to naming brand leaders, the 2013 Brand Use Study indicates trends in the building industry. The study shows a 34.4% year-over-year increase in the average number of residential units built, and with that increase, builders indicate a willingness to try a new product if it offers advanced or new product features. Masonite's fiberglass Belleville door with the Cherry AvantGuard finish is an example of a new product innovation that offers a beautiful appearance and durability.
The study indicates that builders also continue to seek products that offer green features and sustainable materials, and Masonite leads the industry in green product innovations. The Emerald™ Safe 'N Sound® Series of interior molded panel doors are made from rapidly renewable what straw, urea-formaldehyde free and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.
