| Virgin Media strikes CSI Franchise deal in the UK with Alliance Atlantis International Content Distribution |
Virgin Media (NASDAQ: VMED) and Alliance Atlantis have today announced a major new content agreement for the smash hit crime dramas CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Miami. The deal will offer seasons 1-4 of its top-rated show CSI and the first two seasons of CSI: Miami to over three million customers through Virgin Media's TV-on-demand service. Season 5 of CSI and season 3 of CSI: Miami will be added later in 2007. Multi-award-winning and internationally acclaimed, both CSI and CSI: Miami have been a core part of LIVING's schedule for the past five years. The licence starts from 1 March and sees Virgin Media strengthen its TV-on-demand service with further compelling content. Steve Burch, president and CEO of Virgin Media, said: "The CSI Franchise has been a TV phenomenon and makes a welcome addition to our on-demand library. The agreement with Alliance Atlantis to make CSI and CSI: Miami available on demand forms part of our commitment to cram our service full of must-see entertainment which our customers can control."
