Howlett Receives the 2011 Carol B. Hallett Award Recognizing Leadership Excellence and Outstanding Contributions to the Aviation Industry

Hallett Award at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Aviation Conference. The Honorable Carol B. Hallett, Of Counsel, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, presented Howlett with the award at the 10th annual meeting, held in Washington, D.C., for his leadership excellence and outstanding contributions to the aviation industry.

Howlett played a central role at US Airways over his 16-year career. He was instrumental in facilitating the passage of legislation after the 9-11 terrorist acts and has been a key advisor in Washington, D.C. on a variety of industry topics. Before joining US Airways, Howlett served on the White House staff of President Ronald Reagan and held senior positions with the Salt River Project and the City of Phoenix.
