PetSmart Board Director Resigns to Serve in Obama Administration
PHOENIX, AZ, Mar 20, 2009 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- PetSmart, Inc. (NASDAQ: PETM) today announced the resignation of Ronald Kirk from PetSmart's Board of Directors, effective March 13, 2009.

Kirk, 54, accepted a position in President Barack Obama's new administration as U.S. Trade Representative, and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate this week.

"Ron has been a tremendous asset to our board and our shareholders, and we will miss him greatly. We wish him the best in his important new assignment," said Phil Francis, chairman and CEO of PetSmart. Kirk joined the board in 2003.
