This sponsorship is part of the Milk-Bone(R) Canine Heroes
Program(TM) and the celebration of 100 years in providing America's
select brand of dog treats. Milk-Bone(R) and PetSmart are sponsoring
a Canine Assistants service dog for Craig Haynes. Craig Haynes and
his new best friend will go home together after they have both
attended an upcoming sponsored training camp together. The cost and
care of these specially trained dogs can exceed $20,000! This
sponsorship will cover all travel and boarding at camp for Craig
Haynes and includes veterinarian costs for the life of the dog!
A certified Canine Assistants Trainer and a representative dog will
be speaking at the event along with representatives from PetSmart and
Milk-Bone(R).
Since 1997, Milk-Bone(R) has helped to sponsor over 800 police and
service dogs all across the country. Milk-Bone(R) has worked with
PetSmart since 2001 to donate a total of 22 dogs to PetSmart
community recipients like Craig Haynes.
The media and public are invited to attend the event, meet Craig
Haynes and his family, and learn more about service dogs and how they
help persons with disabilities deal with the everyday.
