| 2010 PetWalk to Benefit Arizona's Homeless Pets Is February 21st at Tempe Town Lake |
PHOENIX, AZ, Feb 01, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- The 2nd annual PetSmart Charities(R) PetWalk(TM) presented by Purina(R) Pro Plan(R) is headed to Tempe! The event is proudly sponsored by KSAZ-TV Fox 10/My 45 and PetSmart(R) and will feature 5K and one-mile walks, plus contests and fun, pet-themed events for the whole family (two and four-legged alike)! WHO: Anyone who wants to help homeless pets in Arizona! Humans
and their animal companions are welcome to walk, or you
can walk on behalf of a pet who cannot attend or in
memory of a pet. To date, more than 40 local
animal-welfare agencies, rescue groups and shelters have
signed up to participate.
WHAT: PetSmart Charities 2nd annual PetWalk presented by

Activities begin at 1:00 p.m.
Walk begins at 2:30 p.m.
WHERE: Tempe Town Lake in Tempe, Ariz.
WHY: To raise funds for Arizona's animal-welfare organizations
and help save the lives of homeless pets. Participants
can walk on behalf of the participating animal-welfare
organization of their choice or for nonprofit PetSmart
Charities, which provides millions of dollars in funding
every year to animal-welfare organizations and shelters
across North America, and right here in Arizona.
REGISTRATION FEE: $25 fee for walk registrants in advance online or $30 the
day of the event. Participants are also asked to collect
pledges to support the participating Arizona
animal-welfare agency of their choice or PetSmart
Charities.
