Rockwell Automation – Pavilion Technologies to Host ValueForum ‘08 in Prague
Diverse group of manufacturers and industry specialists to share best practices on increasing production, improving product quality, efficiency and sustainability
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 22, 2008 — To provide industry leaders with the opportunity to share their experiences in applying innovative solutions to deliver operational and business value, Pavilion Technologies, a Rockwell Automation Company, will host ValueForum ’08, an annual worldwide conference for process industry executives, analysts, managers and engineers, October 7 to 10 at Andel’s Hotel in Prague, Czech Republic.
Focusing on “Performance With Purpose,” ValueForum ’08 will offer two days of high-impact sessions, value-based case studies, technology demonstrations and peer networking opportunities. The conference will feature industry leaders showcasing how they have achieved new performance targets with Pavilion solutions.
ValueForum ’08 also will include several customer presentations and discussions of specific solutions that have helped overcome challenges in a variety of industries, including consumer packaged goods, ethanol, cement and petrochemical industries. Specialists from Arla Foods, Buzzi Unicem, AES Elsta, Canpac International Ltd, Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited, Golden Grain Energy, Sterling Ethanol, SABIC and Sterling Chemicals will share their experiences in applying innovative technology solutions to solve operational challenges while driving performance with a purpose. Other presenters include Doug Lawson, CEO of Incuity Software, a Rockwell Automation company, and Tom Fiske, senior analyst Automation & Supply Chain, ARC Advisory Group.
In addition to providing industry best practices, ValueForum ’08 will offer previews of the latest Pavilion8 improvements and vision for integrating the platform into the FactoryTalk Integrated Production and Performance Suite. Attendees will have the chance to explore the latest Pavilion8-enabled solutions. These solutions fall into three classes of applications: Model Predictive Control, Environmental Management and Product Performance Management. The forum is intended to offer progressive ideas and answers to challenges faced by multiple industries looking to achieve the next level of performance.

Top Formula One driver Perry McCarthy, a keynote speaker at the event, will offer a presentation, “Against the Odds: Formula One the Hard Way.” McCarthy will describe what can be achieved when the collective strengths of a team of people are aligned and working toward a common goal. McCarthy is renowned among racing fans for the hardships he faced while trying to break the ranks of Formula One.
