GlobalOptions Group Launches Two New CSI Tools to Improve Efficiency and Accuracy of Evidence Collection and Data Processing at Crime Scenes

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 4, 2007--GlobalOptions Group, Inc. (OTCBB: GOPG), a leading provider of domestic and international risk management services, today announced the launch of the BodEpen System(TM) and The Bode Crime Scene Collector(TM). Developed by Bode Technology, a unit of GlobalOptions Group, these two new crime scene investigation tools are designed to improve the efficiency and accuracy of evidence and data collection at crime scenes. Both devices seamlessly integrate with the newest technologies to process evidence and simplify the steps during the chain-of-custody from the crime scene through processing, to archiving.

"With the launch of these new products, GlobalOptions Group is entering the next generation of crime scene investigation tools," said Howard Safir, CEO of Bode Technology, a unit of GlobalOptions Group. "Bode Technology is clearly leading the way in the field."

The BodEpen System(TM) is a digital pen that can be used with a pad and paper like any common pen. However, it also has the ability to simultaneously capture and store information digitally, as it is written; therefore, a hard copy on paper and an identical digitized copy are produced. The pen stores up to 1 MB of digital data until the user places it onto a cradle which downloads it to a computer. The BodEpen System(TM) eliminates the need to transcribe information onto computers - a time consuming step with the potential for error - and automatically logs each entry with the date, time, page and the pen's serial number.

Collecting and processing DNA samples have become valuable tools in apprehending and prosecuting criminals. Most investigations require a large number of swabs to be collected at crime scenes, and various manipulations to collect and package the evidence. In order to reduce the possibility of contaminating the DNA evidence, the collection process must be simple to perform. The Bode Crime Scene Collector(TM) is pre-labeled and designed for easy packaging to reduce the number of manipulations performed and minimize the chances of evidence contamination. The Bode Crime Scene Collector(TM) also allows for automated processing so the swabs are handled more efficiently.

"Crime scene data and DNA collection are two of the most important sources of information used in solving crimes. Bode Technology understands this and created the BodEpen System(TM) and the Crime Scene Collector(TM) to improve case-flow and streamline the crime scene process while preserving the quality of information collected," said Dr. Harvey Schiller, CEO of GlobalOptions Group.
