(Fairfield, CT – October 2004) The quality management system at Heim Bearings, a division of RBC Bearings, has been certified to both the AS9100 and ISO 9001:2000 standards. The AS9100 requires additional qualifications relevant to the aerospace market, namely more control over suppliers and inspection procedures. Heim Bearings manufactures plain and rolling element rod ends, spherical bearings, and plain and flanged bushings. Aerospace and military applications include actuator and control linkages for fixed wing aircraft and helicopters, landing gear bushings and bearings, engine actuator bearings, engine support mount bearings, aircraft cargo rollers, guided missile bearings, and tank suspension bearings.

“Since our initial registration to ISO and AS standards four years ago, we have continued to improve our systems and processes,” says Michael McHarg, Quality Assurance Manager. “We are very proud of our employees for their continued commitment to our quality effort here at Heim Bearings.”
