|ADVISORY/Washington Mutual throws `Hatching Party' for Peregrine Falcon family; New--Sound Now Added to Video Monitor|
--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 2001--
WHAT: A "Hatching Party" will be held for Seattle's famous Peregrine
Falcon family. Belle and Stewart, the endangered peregrine
falcons nesting atop the Washington Mutual Tower, will
celebrate the arrival of their four newborns, called eyasses.
The public is invited to stop by for cookies and coffee, and
watch the falcons on a video monitor. Sound has now been
added, so onlookers can also experience the chirps, screeches
or other sounds made by the birds.

Additional information: The newborns will remain on the nest
for about six weeks as they develop and prepare to take their
first flight. Stewart and Belle, named after nearby downtown
streets, have been nesting and raising their young atop the
55-story tower since 1995. The falcons can also be seen on
