Picture This: Your Pet's Photo on the New PetSmart(R) PetPerks(R) Visa(R) Credit Card

Pet parents can earn rewards at largest pet specialty

                         retailer...and more!

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 20, 2008--Pet parents now have an exciting new way to earn rewards for their pet and themselves every time they make a purchase: the PetSmart(R) PetPerks(R) Visa(R) card. The new credit card not only offers a very competitive rate and a great rewards program that's perfect for all pet parents, it also allows consumers to put a favorite photo of their pet right on the card so they'll never have to leave home without their pet again.

Consumers can upload a photo of their pet when they apply and the image will be printed directly on their card after their application is approved. Alternatively, the customer can choose one of several standard pet-themed card designs.

With the no-annual-fee PetSmart PetPerks Visa, issued by WaMu (NYSE:WM), cardholders can:

    --  Earn three points for every dollar spent on purchases at
        PetSmart, and Banfield, The Pet Hospital(R), and
        earn one point per dollar spent everywhere else Visa credit
        cards are accepted.

    --  Redeem points for rewards like PetSmart gift cards, donations
        to PetSmart Charities, travel rewards and statement credits,
        starting at just 2,000 points.

    --  Receive a $20 PetSmart gift card after using the card for the
        first time within one year.

    --  Online applicants will receive 0% introductory Annual
        Percentage Rate (APR) for the first six months on purchases
        and balance transfers requested at the time of application.

As an added benefit, PetSmart PetPerks Visa cardholders will be enrolled automatically in PetSmart's free PetPerks loyalty program and their membership number printed on the back of their new credit card, allowing PetPerks Visa cardholders to take advantage of all the PetPerks benefits, including savings on more than 1,000 specially marked in-store items, a birthday offer for dogs and cats, email savings offers, and more.
