Washington Mutual Second Quarter 2006 Earnings Release and Conference Call

SEATTLE, Jun 21, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Washington Mutual, Inc. (NYSE:WM) will release the company's second quarter 2006 earnings on Wednesday, July 19, 2006, following the close of the New York Stock Exchange.

A conference call to discuss the company's financial results will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at 5:00 p.m. ET and will be hosted by Kerry Killinger, chairman and chief executive officer, and Tom Casey, executive vice president and chief financial officer. The conference call will be available by telephone or on the Internet. The prepared remarks will be available on the company's web site prior to the call.
