|Washington Mutual's Corporate Technology Division Announces Eric Porck as First Vice President|
|SEATTLE, Feb 14, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Washington Mutual, Inc. (NYSE:WM)
today announced that it has hired Eric Porck as first vice president in the
company's corporate technology division. In the new position, Porck will serve
as a business solutions partner to Washington Mutual's corporate finance group
and be responsible for overseeing all enterprise data warehousing, corporate
finance, and legal automation initiatives.
During the past 18 years, Eric has played a key role in delivering technology solutions that drive business," said Washington Mutual CIO Jerry Gross. "We're fortunate to add him to our team and believe he will be an invaluable resource to our corporate finance group."
During his career, Porck has held senior-level technology positions with leading companies including: Avenue A, where he served as director of information technology; SAFECO Corp., where he redesigned e-commerce and WAN infrastructure in his role as director of network architecture; and MCI Systems Engineering Headquarters, where he worked as program manager for an advanced Internet services group. Porck is a graduate of West Chester University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in economics.
