Build-A-Bear Workshop(R) Supports Literacy

In cele-bear-ation of NEA's Read Across America day and Cat in the Hat's 50th Birthday

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 27, 2007--Build-A-Bear Workshop(R) is participating in Project 236 - a National Read Aloud event - in support of the National Education Association's (NEA) Read Across America day and Cat in the Hat's 50th birthday. All North American Build-A-Bear Workshop stores will be hosting a reading of Cat in the Hat on March 2 at 2:36 p.m.

Also on March 2, Build-A-Bear Workshop is launching a make-your-own Cat in the Hat furry friend. For every purchase of Make-Your-Own Cat in the Hat through March 2 - 23, Build-A-Bear Workshop and Dr. Seuss Enterprises will donate a portion of the proceeds to First Book(R) to provide new books to children from low-income families.
