EnerSys, (NYSE: ENS) the global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, announced that it has recently been awarded a SILVER Recognition of Excellence Award by the US Defense Logistics Agency.

The Defense Logistics Agency - Land and Maritime (Columbus, Ohio) selected EnerSys for their exemplary performance as measured by the Automated Best Value System (ABVS) under which EnerSys achieved and maintained a score of greater than 99% in 2009 on all the contracts it received for batteries for military land vehicles and aircraft from the U.S. Department of Defense. Selection for the award is based on EnerSys' ABVS score, which is a measure of on-time delivery and product quality, as well as other factors which include business ethics and integrity.
