Industry Veteran to Lead Software Development and Technical Operations
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Citysearch.com, a leading local search service, today announced that Emad Fanous has been named as its new vice president of technology. As vice president of technology, Fanous is responsible for Citysearch's overall technology initiatives, including developing and driving the company's roadmap, managing software development and overseeing Web operations.

Fanous has worked for Citysearch since November 2000, starting as a senior engineer and working his way through the ranks to most recently serving as Citysearch's director of development. In his tenure at Citysearch, Fanous has been responsible for a broad range of Website development projects, including the development of Citysearch's Pay for Performance search engine, the Internet's first Local Pay for Performance advertising model. Prior to joining Citysearch, Fanous held various positions at Homepage.com and USC's Information Sciences Institute. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California Los Angeles.
