|Amazon.com, Inc. Announces Plans to Issue Convertible Subordinated Notes|
SEATTLE--Feb. 7, 2000--Amazon.com, Inc. (Nasdaq:AMZN) announced today that it would file a prospectus supplement with the Securities and Exchange Commission to sell up to 600MM of Euro Denominated Convertible Subordinated Notes Due 2010 (excluding proceeds, if any, from the over-allotment option).
The notes and shares of the common stock of the company issuable upon conversion of the notes are covered by the company's existing shelf registration statement.
An underwriting group led by Morgan Stanley Dean Witter will market the notes to the public.
