Genworth Financial to Award NBC Treasure Hunters Winners One of TV's Richest Prizes

RICHMOND, Va., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Genworth Financial (NYSE: GNW) will provide one of the richest prizes in television history on Monday, August 21 at 9 p.m. (EDT) when it hosts the live finale of the summer NBC reality show, Treasure Hunters. Genworth, a sponsor of the series, is providing the grand prize worth millions of dollars to the winning team. Genworth is also primary sponsor of the companion NBC.com online Treasure Hunters game, the Genworth Financial Treasure Challenge.

The show has pitted 10 teams in a race to find historical artifacts that, together, provided clues to the major award that will be made Monday. Each week during the summer, one of the teams was eliminated at the end of each show, paving the way for Monday's finale. In addition, the winner of the online game will be presented with a $100,000 cash prize during the show.

"While the winners will not be disclosed until the finale airs Monday, we can reveal that the winning three team members will share a prize worth millions of dollars," said Laurence "Buzz" Richmond, Genworth's senior vice president in charge of advertising and brand activities. Winning team members may choose to receive a prize that is funded by a Genworth product.
