Financial Services Expert and Washington Veteran
to Lead Genworth's DC Efforts
RICHMOND, Va., May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Genworth Financial today announced
the appointment of Roger Levy as senior vice president, Government Relations.
Levy joins Genworth from the law firm DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary, where he
was director of the Legislative Financial Services Group. Previously Levy
directed federal government relations for Travelers Insurance Companies, and
then Citigroup following the merger of the two companies. While at Citigroup
he led the company's successful efforts to stimulate banking reform
legislation that allowed banks, brokers and insurers to combine.
Levy will oversee Genworth's legislative agenda during another critical
period. As a leader in providing products that help people protect their life
styles, prepare for retirement and achieve homeownership, Genworth will play
an expanded role in public policy discussions across these areas.

Levy began his career in Washington on Capitol Hill, serving as special

of more than 30 years in Washington, Levy has had played an integral role in
most of the major legislative actions that have changed the financial services
landscape. Levy will be based in Washington and lead a team of industry
veterans.
