MAJESTIC STAR ANNOUNCES CLOSING OF ITS 9½% SENIOR SECURED NOTES DUE 2010 AND $80.0 MILLION SENIOR CREDIT FACILITY

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – October 8, 2003 – The Majestic Star Casino, LLC (the “Company”) and The Majestic Star Capital Corp. (“Capital” and together with the Company, the “Issuers”) today announced the closing on October 7, 2003 of the issuance of $260.0 million principal amount of its 9½% Senior Secured Notes due 2010 (the “Note Offering”). Contemporaneously with the closing of the Note Offering, the Company and certain of its affiliates closed on a $80.0 million senior credit facility.

“This offering allows us to consolidate our debt structure at a very favorable interest rate and simplify our financial reporting,” said Don H. Barden, the Company’s Chairman and CEO. “Having the new credit facility as part of our debt structure will allow us to more easily pay down on our debt with excess cash flows and make investments in our operations.”
