TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 8, 2006--Syntax-Brillian Corp.
(Nasdaq: BRLC), a manufacturer and marketer of LCD and LCoS(TM) HDTVs
and digital entertainment products, today announced that it has
entered into an agreement with Solar Link Technologies Inc., a wholly
owned subsidiary of Taiwan-based Pro Chen Group (which trades on the
Taiwan Stock Exchange under stock #9904), to assemble its full line of
Olevia LCD and LCoS(TM) TVs at a production facility in Ontario,
Calif.
Scheduled to begin assembly of Olevia 3, 5 and 7 Series LCD TVs in
late August 2006 and LCoS(TM) TVs in September 2006, the facility is
expected to be able to produce approximately 100,000 to 200,000

distribution throughout North America. Tempe, Ariz.-based
Syntax-Brillian now offers cutting-edge LCoS(TM) HDTVs designed in the
United States and certified to carry the "Made in the USA" label, as
well as several innovative lines of LCD TVs designed and assembled in
the United States.
"We're very proud that our Olevia brand LCD and LCoS(TM) TVs will
be assembled by American workers with our partner Solar Link
Technologies," said Syntax-Brillian CEO Vincent Sollitto.
"Strategically, locating production in Ontario is a great advantage.
Not only does it allow us to cut costs on shipping and import duties,
thereby improving margins, but it also allows us to bring production
close to home and work with a company that has extensive experience in
assembling quality consumer electronics."
Olevia LCD and LCoS(TM) TVs assembled at the Ontario facility are
destined for retail locations throughout the United States and Canada
to support a number of recently announced distribution and retail
agreements that Syntax-Brillian has inked to expand the fast-growing
Olevia brand in North America with retailers including The Source by
Circuit City, Pamida, Queen City, distributor Digital Delivery Group
and more. Olevia is currently ranked as a "Top Ten" LCD TV brand in
North America.
