Journal Broadcast Group, a division of Journal Communications, Inc.
(NYSE:JRN), today announced that Michael J. Gay was named VP of
Interactive Media. In this role, Mr. Gay will lead the design and
implementation of digital initiatives across all of Journal’s television
and radio broadcast properties. Mr. Gay joins Journal from Hearst
Television where he was Corporate Executive Producer for Digital Media
and will report directly to Steven J. Smith, Chairman and CEO.

Mr. Gay spent five years at Hearst Television as Corporate Executive
Producer of Digital Media. Before Hearst, he was Web Manager for WBBM-TV
in Chicago. He also spent time in broadcast internet roles at KRON-TV in
San Francisco and WLNS-TV and WILX-TV in Lansing. He holds an Internet
Marketing Masters Degree from Full Sail University and a
Telecommunications Bachelors Degree from Michigan State University.
