|More Room for Fun: New Indoor Play Area to Open at Pheasant Lane Mall|
i>Grand Opening Ceremony Begins at the Mall 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19
NASHUA, NH – The Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua is giving children more room to play. On Saturday, April 19th at 10 a.m., the mall is teaming up with Lowell General Hospital and the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center to celebrate the opening of The Family Fun Zone, a large, new indoor play area located in the lower level JC Penney court.
“We often see moms and dads bringing along their children when they shop, and this new play area will allow the kids and parents to take a break and get some energy out,” said Deb Stone, area director of mall marketing. “We have a Simon Kidgits Klubhouse™ complete with a slide, a Band-Aid bridge and ambulance for kids to climb on, and some soft seating that surrounds the area.”
Nashua mayor Donnalee Lozeau will be at the event to cut the ribbon on the new play area. Also, children and parents in attendance can enjoy free refreshments from Starbucks, a face painter, and a balloon artist. In honor of upcoming Earth Day, Simon Kidgits Club members will be receiving Earth Day coloring sheets, and will be asked for their ideas on how to help save the planet.
“Lowell General Hospital is committed to bringing world-class healthcare to our region. Through our partnership with the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center, we are able to make tertiary-level care available for families, right here in our community,” says Win Brown, vice president administration at Lowell General Hospital. “We look forward to seeing area families have fun together at our Grand Opening event this Saturday, and each time they visit The Family Fun Zone at Pheasant Lane Mall.”
John Schreiber, pediatrician-in-chief, Floating Hospital for Children, added, “Floating Hospital is thrilled to be part of the local community with care at Lowell General Hospital and with this new Family Fun Zone. It is our commitment to provide the highest level care for children in the region and to support the entire family.
