Coldwater Creek Coming to the Arboretum in Austin

- Simon Property Group Development Announces Arrival of Popular Store -

AUSTIN, TX (June 4, 2007) – Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG) announced today that Coldwater Creek, the very popular women's fashion destination, will open a new store at The Arboretum. The new Coldwater Creek store will be approximately 10,000 square feet and will open this summer. The Arboretum is a 210,000 square foot lifestyle/community center development anchored by Barnes & Noble and The Cheesecake Factory.

“This announcement of Coldwater Creek moving into a new store at The Arboretum further solidifies this property as a great retail destination in central Texas,” said Diane Sweeney, project manager for The Arboretum.

“As we open retail stores across the country, we are continuing to establish Coldwater Creek as one of the premier national women's apparel brands,” said Georgia Shonk-Simmons, president and chief merchandising officer. “Adding the Arboretum location to our rapidly growing store base represents another milestone in reaching our goal of having a total of 450-500 stores in operation over the next several years.”

Based in Sandpoint, Idaho, Coldwater Creek selected Austin for its latest retail store because of the company's strong customer base in the immediate area. The store's interior will feature slate and soft wood accents, ambient lighting and a signature “wall of water” to create a relaxed, tranquil setting. The atmosphere will be carefully designed to provide an environment where customers can get away from daily routines as they shop for their favorite items.

This natural setting echoes Coldwater Creek's social responsibility commitment. The company continues its support in the fight against breast cancer as a third- year National Sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Series. To date, Coldwater Creek has donated over $2.9 million to Komen in supporting their vision of a world without breast cancer. Retail stores across the country also participate in fundraising events, which benefit the local Komen Affiliates.

In addition, Coldwater Creek embraces its role as a steward of the environment, and is now the largest purchaser of renewable energy in the apparel industry, powering 100% of their U.S. operation with wind-energy certificates. Every kilowatt hour of energy used – in the company's corporate offices, call centers, its distribution center and retail stores – is provided by renewable “green” power.
