Sydney Film Festival and Princess Cruises Announce New Travelling Film Festival Location – Onboard Diamond Princess

The 62nd Sydney Film Festival and Princess Cruises today announced the inaugural Travelling Film Festival will screen onboard Diamond Princess on a 12-night roundtrip cruise to New Zealand from Sydney in February 2016.

“While crossing the Tasman, audiences will enjoy New Zealand produced films selected by Sydney Film Festival,” Festival Director Nashen Moodley said. “As well as the screenings, there will be special film guests, Q&As and a program of exciting festival events on board.”

“Sydney Film Festival and Princess Cruises both provide guests with memorable escapes and meaningful experiences, be they cultural, personal or intellectual,” Princess Cruises Vice President Australia & New Zealand Stuart Allison said. “We are excited we can continue our partnership in 2016, by giving our passengers a truly unique Sydney Film Festival experience.”

Princess Cruises is offering a 12-night New Zealand cruise for two lucky film lovers onboard  Diamond Princess, where they can experience the Travelling Film Festival in grand style whilst taking in the sights of picturesque New Zealand. Enter the competition HERE.

The Travelling Film Festival is Australia’s longest-running travelling film festival. The Festival provides audiences in regional areas with the opportunity to see world-class Australian and international films that they may not otherwise have had access to on the big screen.

Diamond Princess hosts a range of premium facilities following a recent $30 million refurbishment including the largest Japanese bath area at sea, as well as a sushi restaurant among its multiple dining options. Other ship features include its beautiful Lotus Spa, the popular Movies Under the Stars poolside theatre and The Sanctuary, an exclusive top-deck retreat.

Film buffs can experience the Travelling Film Festival on Diamond Princess’ 12-night round trip New Zealand cruise from Sydney on February 4 2016, which will visit Auckland, Tauranga, Wellington, Akaroa, Dunedin and Fjordland. Fares start at $1719* per person twin share. <?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
