Costa Cruises' 'March Medness' Promotion Features Cruise Fares as Low as $499 on Select Spring 2015 Sailings

Savings, onboard credits up to $400 per cabin and reduced third/fourth rates are available on two of the line's newest ships

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (Jan. 27, 2014) -- Costa Cruises is turning March Madness into "March Medness" with offers that make a Mediterranean cruise this spring irresistible. The Italian cruise line is offering fares as low as $499 per person, up to $400 in onboard credits per cabin and reduced rates for third and fourth guests in a cabin on seven-night cruises aboard Costa Fascinosa and the line's new flagship Costa Diadema.

"Reduced rates and high onboard credit offers make the Mediterranean the best deal available this spring," said Scott Knutson, vice president sales and marketing for Costa Cruises North America. "Throw in the current affordability of international airfare and how strong the dollar is against the euro, and Americans have a chance to get more bang for their buck than ever before on a Costa cruise."

The new 132,500-ton, 3,724-guest Costa Diadema will be sailing seven-night western Mediterranean cruises departing from Marseille, France, Feb. 22 and March 15 and 22; Savona, Italy, March 14 and 21; and Barcelona, Spain, March 16 and 23. The weeklong cruises include calls at La Spezia (Florence), and Naples, Italy; and Ajaccio, Corsica. Rates start at $499 per person, double occupancy, on cruises from Feb. 22 through March 16; and $599 for the ship's late March departures.

The 114,500-ton, 3,000-guest Costa Fascinosa's seven-night cruises feature roundtrip departures from Marseille; and Savona and Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy. The ship will call at Palermo, Sicily; Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Tunis, Tunisia, or La Valletta, Malta; and Marseille or Barcelona. Costa Fascinosa departs Savona March 1, 15 and 22; Civitavecchia March 2, 16 and 23; and Marseille March 14. Rates start at $499 per person, double occupancy on all departures.

In addition to an unforgettable trip to some of the Mediterranean's most beautiful ports, guests will receive onboard credits of up to $50 per person on interior cabins, $100 per person on oceanview cabins and $200 per person on balcony cabins.

Reduced fares for the third and fourth occupant in a stateroom also are available on all sailings with rates starting at $199 for children ages 17 and under and $299 for adults. Third and fourth occupants are not eligible for onboard credits. All rates are per person, double occupancy and capacity controlled.
