INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 5, 2012-- Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for May 2012. The Company generated approximately 1.8 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), which was 6% lower than the same month last year, on a 7% decrease in capacity of 2.1 billion available seat miles (ASMs). Block hours were 75,440 in May 2012, a decrease of 9% from May 2011. Consolidated load factor was 83% in May of 2012 versus 82% in the same month last year. Republic Airways carried 2.6 million passengers during the month, a decrease of 7% from the prior year.
