|Republic Airways Reports January 2011 Traffic|
INDIANAPOLIS, Feb 03, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ:RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for January 2011. The Company generated 1.5 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 1% decrease from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) decreased by 5%. Block hours were 78,886 in January 2011, a 6% decline from January 2010. Consolidated load factor was 71% versus 68% in January 2010. Over 2.2 million passengers were carried during the month, unchanged from the same month last year.
Republic Airways Holdings, based in Indianapolis, Indiana is an airline holding company that owns Chautauqua Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Lynx Aviation, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America, collectively "the airlines." The airlines offer scheduled passenger service on approximately 1,500 flights daily to 129 cities in 41 states, Canada, Costa Rica, and Mexico under branded operations at Frontier, and through fixed-fee airline services agreements with five major U.S. airlines.
