Republic Airways Reports January 2010 Traffic
INDIANAPOLIS, Feb 04, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for January 2010. The Company generated 1.52 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 119% increase from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 102%. Block hours were 83,557 in January 2010, a 39% increase from January 2009. Consolidated load factor was 68% versus 63% in January 2009. More than 2.2 million passengers were carried during the month, a 66% increase from the same month last year. As a reminder, the 2009 results do not include operations at Midwest Airlines and Frontier Airlines which were purchased by the Company in July 2009 and October 2009, respectively.

The branded operations at Frontier and Midwest generated 875 million RPMs in January 2010, an increase of 9% over their combined January 2009 results. Capacity (ASMs) for the branded carriers increased 4% to 1.25 billion in January 2010 compared to 1.20 billion in January 2009. Load factor on the branded operations was 70% in January 2010 compared to 67% in January 2009. The branded carriers served just over 1 million passengers last month, a 5% increase from January 2009.
